ABOUT DAWN CROMER

A Cavalier at heart, I obtained my B.A. in Sociology and Masters in Education from the University of Virginia right here in Charlottesville. I was not only a student but also an athlete while at the University, competing for five years as a varsity member of both the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. I earned All-America honors in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase, and competed numerous times at the NCAA Championships.  I decided to continue training and competing as an elite athlete after college. I competed in the 2004 Olympic Trials in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (placed 7th) and more recently just competed in the 2008 Olympic Track and Field Trials. I have retired from elite racing but you will still find me running around town on foot!

I entered into the real estate world in 2005 and fell in love with this profession. I meet new people every day.  Everyone has a story that I benefit being a part of, and helping them with the biggest decisions in their life is rewarding for me. For the people I am fortunate enough to work with, I know the key component in them having a successful real estate transaction is having a professional Realtor that they can fully trust and rely on. I take this profession very seriously and will go the extra mile for my clients, as I have done everyday in my personal life. The many traits that I have developed as an athlete transpire into my profession as a Realtor with dedication, hard work, honesty, and persistence being at the forefront of what I do.

My biggest supporter and often running partner is my husband, Damond. He also ran for the University and we married in 2005 in the UVA Chapel. Neither of us has wanted to leave Charlottesville since we came here years ago. We love every corner of this town and have seen most of it by foot amid the many miles that we have trekked throughout the trails and streets of Charlottesville. Fall is my favorite time of the year, as the leaves change color and the Blue Ridge Mountains are blanketed in oranges, yellows, and reds. We enjoy bringing our golden retriever, Cassius, to the park to soak in and enjoy these mountainous views. We continue to discover new places, new things to do, and the scenery around this great townthat  just keeps us engaged year round. As we love the atmosphere, diversity, and environment in Charlottesville, our roots just keep growing deeper every year!
